Philosophy
Most tattoos are made in a moment. But they stay for much longer.
Over time, you realize it’s not about adding more
It's about choosing something that continues to feel right. Something that sits naturally on the body and doesn’t lose its clarity as it ages.
Roy works with a limited number of clients to keep the work focused and intentional.

2015 - 2023
India's first queer-owned, inclusive multidiscipilinary tattoo and art space
Founded by Roy in New Delhi in 2015, Frozen Ink and Art was created as India’s first queer-owned, inclusive multidisciplinary tattoo and art space.
The space grew from Roy’s wider practice as a fine artist, where tattooing, painting, sculpture, installation, and the body were approached as connected forms of making.
Alongside traditional, cosmetic, and restorative tattooing, Frozen Ink and Art became a working environment for studio art, experimentation, and multidisciplinary practice. It was not conceived simply as a commercial tattoo studio but as a space where technical discipline, creative freedom, and inclusion could exist together.
Roy founded and led the space until 2023. The principles developed there—care, composition, artistic experimentation, and long-term intention—continue to shape their practice today.
In 2026, this practice entered its next chapter in Nova Scotia through Classique Ink and Aesthetics, a quieter and more focused continuation of the ideas that began with Frozen Ink and Art.
